The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to repel intense attacks by Russian troops along the entire front line, where 204 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours, indicating that combat operations remain highly intense across several sectors simultaneously.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the evening of June 18, 2026, noting that the enemy is not easing up and is actively using missiles, aircraft, and drones to strike Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched three missile strikes using nine missiles, carried out 64 airstrikes, and dropped 213 guided bombs, as well as deployed 5,797 kamikaze drones and carried out more than 2,000 artillery barrages. “In total, 204 combat engagements have taken place since the start of this 24-hour period. The enemy launched three missile strikes, carried out 64 airstrikes, and dropped 213 guided bombs,” the General Staff’s report states.

The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot on the front line, where the enemy carried out 27 attacks in the areas of several settlements, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses; however, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions and inflict losses on the enemy. According to preliminary data, in this sector alone, 41 invaders were killed, another 23 were wounded, and artillery systems, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), military equipment, shelters, and UAV command posts were destroyed or damaged, while more than 200 drones were shot down or neutralized.

Active combat operations are also ongoing in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and other sectors, where the enemy regularly attempts to advance in small assault groups, but faces organized resistance from Ukrainian units. The General Staff notes that the situation remains tense but under control, and the most intense fighting continues precisely on the Pokrovsk sector of the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

The command emphasizes that every enemy drone destroyed means Ukrainian lives saved and another step toward a safer sky over the country. The story of the soldier was made public on June 18 by the Ukrainian Navy.

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have carried out 55 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The most tense situation is observed in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka sectors.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb suggested that hostilities in Ukraine could continue for at least another three to four months.
