Ukrainian Armed Forces showcase Lyman covered in “cobwebs”
Drone operators from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, known as the “Steel Lions,” released a video on Telegram showing the situation in Lyman, Kramatorsk district.
The footage illustrates the realities of war, where the intensity of combat is reflected not only in destroyed infrastructure but also in the number of enemy attacks occurring daily in the region.
Ukrainian soldiers report that Lyman continues to hold its ground, though the area is increasingly under pressure from enemy airstrikes. At the same time, Ukrainian forces actively strike back, targeting Russian military positions.
“Heavy scenes vividly show how the war is changing. Now the intensity of fighting can be measured not so much by destroyed buildings as by the amount of fiber optic ‘cobwebs,’” the Ukrainian soldiers noted.
The situation in the region remains tense, as battles continue and control over territory is still contested. According to the military, Liman is holding but is gradually becoming covered in this “cobweb,” as hundreds of enemy and Ukrainian drones fly over daily, each leaving its mark.
Ukrainian operations in the Lyman district are strategically important, as control over the city could influence the further course of military events in the region.
The most difficult situations on the front remain in the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk directions. On December 16, 278 combat engagements occurred across the front, with Ukrainian forces successfully repelling 82 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
