Two drones violated Moldova's airspace in the past 24 hours
Moldova’s airspace was crossed twice over the past 24 hours by drones approaching from Ukraine.
The first drone was detected at 10:33 a.m. near Palanka. It entered Moldovan airspace from the direction of the village of Mayaki in Ukraine, flew approximately 500 meters from Palanka, and returned to Ukrainian territory just one minute later. The drone was spotted simultaneously by Moldovan and Ukrainian border guards.
The second drone was detected at 11:09 a.m. near the village of Chobruchi. It also entered from Ukrainian territory, flew over Moldova toward Transnistria, and then exited the country’s airspace near the village of Kuchurgan, heading toward Stepove in Ukraine.
The Moldovan Ministry of Defense classified both incidents as unauthorized incursions of drones into the country’s airspace.

The Russian Federation—an aggressor state—attacked a border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova in the Odesa region with drones. Two civilians were killed, and three others were injured.
On the night of September 9, Russian troops attacked the “Starokozache” border crossing with strike drones. Following the attack, operations at the international road border crossing were temporarily suspended.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region as a result of the Russian Federation’s attack.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
