Photo: Russians shelled a monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the Kherson region
In the village of Pryozerne in the Kherson region, buildings belonging to the Annunciation Convent were damaged as a result of Russian shelling on March 29.
This was reported by the Kherson Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Telegram.
“On March 29, 2026, during a massive shelling of the Bilozerska territorial community by Russian troops, the Blagoveshchensky Convent in the village of Pryozerne was shelled during the Divine Liturgy on Sunday,” the statement reads.





According to the diocese, as a result of a direct hit on the monastery grounds, the cell block and utility buildings were significantly damaged, and the windows of the church were shattered.
Despite the destruction, there were no casualties.
