As of September 24, 2026, Ukrainian defenders had killed 1,540 Russian soldiers over the past 24 hours. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released the latest data on Russian military losses.
As of September 24, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,523,980 (+1,540) individuals;
- tanks – 12,367 (+0) units;
- armored combat vehicles—25,402 (+15);
- artillery systems—50,240 (+24);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,154 (+2);
- air defense systems – 1,669 (+4);
- aircraft – 443 (+1);
- helicopters – 356 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,727 (+4) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 531,352 (+792) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,111 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 152,782 (+229) units;
- special equipment – 4,740 (+3) units

Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv on the night of September 24, leaving two dead and eight injured.
Earlier, in Sumy, water supply was restricted following an airstrike due to power outages.
We should add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.
