U.S. Treasury Secretary Discusses Trump's Peace Plan with Russian Officials – Fox Business
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent held a meeting with a Russian delegation on the sidelines of the G20 summit. During the talks, the parties discussed advancing President Donald Trump’s 28-point peace plan to resolve the war in Ukraine.
The document, released last year, contains proposals for the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donetsk region, as well as de facto recognition of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk as Russian territories, particularly by the United States. In addition, the U.S. plan calls for a freeze on hostilities in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that it allegedly makes no sense for Vladimir Putin to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss ending the war. According to him, such a meeting would be possible only to finalize existing agreements.
