The British Defense Minister visited the sites of the attacks in Kyiv

British Defense Minister Wes Streeting visited the sites of Russian attacks in Kyiv. Near the “Lukyanivska” metro station, he was shown the aftermath of the strikes and told how Ukrainian rescue workers are operating in the wake of the shelling.

During the visit, Streating, along with the British delegation, visited the Lukyanivska metro station. Andriy Danik, head of the State Emergency Service, briefed the British representatives on the aftermath of the Russian attacks and described the work of the rescue workers. According to him, Ukrainian State Emergency Service units work every day under the threat of new shelling. Rescuers must not only quickly clear debris and deal with the aftermath of the strikes but also simultaneously ensure the safety of their own units.

Despite the constant danger, rescue workers continue to search for and rescue people, assist the injured, and address the aftermath of Russian attacks. During the meeting, they also discussed the assistance the United Kingdom is providing to Ukrainian rescue workers. In particular, they addressed strengthening the capabilities of the State Emergency Service units and providing them with the necessary equipment and machinery.

“We are sincerely grateful to the United Kingdom for its unwavering support of Ukraine and Ukrainian rescue workers. The equipment, vehicles, and assistance provided by our partners allow us to carry out our most important task—saving people’s lives—even more effectively,” noted Andriy Danik. The British minister’s visit provided an opportunity to directly show UK representatives the consequences of Russian attacks that Ukrainian rescue workers face in their daily work. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As a result of a nighttime missile attack by Russia on the night of August 5, the production and logistics facilities of the company “Epicenter” sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.

As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
