In the Chernihiv region, drones struck a music school and a store

On the evening of October 6, Russian drones attacked the town of Semenivka in the Chernihiv region. Following the strike, a music school building and a nearby store caught fire. Information regarding possible casualties and the extent of the damage is currently being verified.

 

Russian forces attacked Semenivka in the Novhorod-Siverskyi District of Chernihiv Oblast with three drones. The strike occurred on the evening of October 6 at approximately 9:07 p.m. The attack caused a fire in the music school building. The fire also spread to a nearby store.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the Russian strike. “The enemy attack, carried out using three drones, took place at 9:07 p.m.,” he said. According to preliminary information, a fire broke out in the city following the drone attack. Emergency services are on the scene to assess the exact extent of the destruction and damage.

At the time of this report, there was no information regarding fatalities or injuries. However, the official noted that details regarding casualties are still being verified. Likewise, there is no definitive information yet on the extent of damage to the music school and the store. The full extent of the attack’s consequences will be determined after an inspection of the impact site.

Semenivka is located near the state border with Russia. Due to its proximity to the border, the town regularly suffers from Russian attacks, including drone strikes. This time, civilian targets were hit. Among them were a music school where children study and a store. On the morning of October 6, Russian troops attacked Sumy with strike drones. One of the enemy drones struck a 10-story residential building, injuring two people, including a 16-year-old boy.
