FSB agents who were directing strikes against thermal power plants were detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The Security Service of Ukraine detained two local residents in the Dnipropetrovsk region who are suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence agencies.

According to the investigation, they directed Russian missile and drone strikes against energy infrastructure facilities in the region, including one of the key thermal power plants.

The detainees are currently charged with aiding the enemy, and the investigation is ongoing.

The investigation established that the suspects collaborated with the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). One of the priority tasks assigned to them by the enemy was to conduct reconnaissance near a local thermal power plant that supplies electricity to frontline areas of the region.

As the investigation revealed, the suspects acted independently of one another but shared a single handler from the Russian intelligence service.

“One of the suspects is a draft dodger from Dnipro who rarely left his home and covertly extracted the information the Russians needed from neighbors and relatives,” the SBU reported.

It has been documented that, under the guise of casual conversation, the man attempted to learn not only about the technical condition of the local thermal power plant but also the coordinates of air defense firing positions.

Another detainee is an unemployed woman from the city of Zelenodolsk. The investigation revealed that she was patrolling the area to identify and document the locations of mobile fire groups, as well as monitoring the aftermath of Russian airstrikes on local energy facilities.

The SBU exposed both agents, documented their crimes, and detained them. During searches, their smartphones containing evidence of their work for the enemy were seized.

The suspects were charged under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—treason under martial law.

The suspects are being held in custody without the right to bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

This was reported by the SBU.

The SBU detained an FSB agent who was directing strikes against Kherson.

The SBU confirmed a strike on the Nizhny Novgorod Oil Refinery and an oil pumpingstation in the Russian Federation.
