Following the explosions in Vyshneve, calls are being made for an audit of hazardous facilities

Following the Russian strike on Vyshneve, which led to a massive fire, repeated explosions, and the evacuation of residents, calls have intensified in the public sphere for an investigation into the location of potentially dangerous facilities near residential areas.

The authors of these appeals emphasize the need to determine exactly which facility was struck, what was stored there, whether it met safety requirements, and why it was located near residential areas. At the same time, there is currently no official confirmation regarding the nature of the facility or its purpose.

It is also proposed to conduct a comprehensive audit of similar facilities throughout Ukraine, verify compliance with urban planning and sanitary standards, assess the presence of buffer zones, and, if necessary, review the location of high-risk facilities. Separately, the issue of environmental monitoring following the fire and providing assistance to affected residents is raised.

According to the authors of the initiative, the events in Vyshneve should serve as grounds for a detailed investigation, as well as a review of approaches to urban planning and security in wartime conditions.

Important: As of now, official authorities have not reported that the facility hit in Vyshneve was an ammunition depot or other military facility. Such assumptions are unconfirmed and should not be presented as established facts. This will help prevent the spread of unverified information and uphold journalistic standards.

This is reported byanalyst Vladislav Smirnov.

Residents of Vyshneve were urged not to go outside following the Russian attack.

As a reminder, seven people were killed as a result of a massive strike on Kyiv.

Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike.

We also recall that the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
