A massive fire broke out in the Sumy region following a Russian attack on a shopping center
Russian troops attacked a shopping center in the Romny District of Sumy Oblast, causing a large-scale fire there. Rescue workers from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service worked at the scene until late at night.
To extinguish the fire, the State Emergency Service deployed specialized robotic equipment, which allowed operations to be carried out under high-risk conditions.
Due to the threat of repeated Russian strikes, rescuers had to suspend firefighting efforts several times and retreat to a safe location. Once the threat subsided, they resumed their work.

Community rescue officers were also on site, assisting in the cleanup efforts following the attack.

As a result, the rescue workers managed to extinguish all the fires.
