Damage caused by the Russian strike on Kyiv was displayed at VDNG
As a result of the latest airstrike on Kyiv, the grounds of the “Expocenter of Ukraine” National Complex (VDNG) sustained significant damage.
Windows were shattered in many pavilions and entertainment venues at the exhibition center, and damage to infrastructure elements was also reported.
The unique historic Greenhouse suffered the most damage from the blast wave—62 windows were shattered there. Experts are currently assessing the total extent of the damage and checking on the condition of the rare plants inside the building.
The complex’s team, together with residents and partners, promptly began addressing the aftermath of the emergency.
The main goal of the staff is to restore this popular cultural and innovative space to its normal rhythm of life as quickly as possible.
Despite the damage to the pavilions, Expocenter continues to operate and is already open today to residents and visitors to the capital.
Coordinators are urging visitors to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines during air raid alerts.
This was reported by the VDNG administration on Facebook.
