In the Vovchansk area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a convoy of Russian ATVs
Ukrainian troops destroyed nine Russian ATVs in the Vovchansk direction. The operation was carried out by unmanned systems units.
The strikes were carried out by fighters from the “Murchiki” unmanned aerial vehicle battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Ataman Kostya Gordienko.
The brigade reported this on Facebook and released a video of the operation.
"A deadly flight for the Russians in the Vovchansk direction by the pilots of the 'Murchiki' UAS unit of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade," the post reads.
As the military noted, "for some reason, the occupiers decided that ATVs would give them a speed advantage on the battlefield. But our 'Murchiki' FPV drones turned out to be faster."
The result of the encounter: nine burned-out ATVs and the enemy infantry eliminated, the 57th OMBR reported.
The occupiers are shelling Vovchansk to capture the city and its surroundings, according to the "Forpost" brigade.
Ukrainian troops recently advanced in the Donetsk region. This refers to the area between Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka, where the Defense Forces were able to improve their positions.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost approximately 1,271,350 troops. In the last 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated another 950 occupiers.
