On the morning of April 15, Ukrainian "Lyuty" strike drones attacked a petrochemical plant in the city of Sterlitamak, located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation.

This is reported by monitoring sources.

According to available information, the target may have been the joint-stock company “Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant,” which is one of the region’s key enterprises.

Eyewitnesses reported thick black smoke rising over the industrial zone following explosions and a fire. Videos showing drones flying overhead and reports of a series of explosions also appeared in local social media groups.

The plant specializes in the production of synthetic rubbers, including butadiene-styrene and isoprene rubbers, which are used in the tire industry and for the manufacture of rubber products. The plant also produces latexes, resins, and other petrochemical products and is part of the Russian holding company Roskhim.
