The fiercest fighting is taking place near Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Hulyaypole
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 229 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders. The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Huliaipole sectors. The occupiers actively used aircraft, drones, and artillery. Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the enemy’s advance and repel assaults across various sections of the front.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 229 combat engagements have taken place since the start of the day. Russian forces carried out 68 airstrikes, dropped 175 guided bombs, launched over 6,200 kamikaze drones, and fired over 2,200 rounds at Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Situation in the North
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks. In addition, the Russians carried out 42 shelling attacks on Defense Forces positions and civilian areas, one of which involved multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 14 times. Fighting took place near Vilcha, Kozacha Lopana, Lyman, Izbytske, and Synelnykove. Two combat engagements were ongoing at the time this report was compiled.
In the Kupiansk sector, one assault attempt was recorded in the Shiykivka area.
Fighting in Eastern Ukraine
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 attacks by the Russian army. The enemy attempted to advance near Novoselivka, Drobyshove, Lyman, Ozerny, and Yampil.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops launched 23 offensive attempts. All attacks near Kryva Luka, Zakytne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka were repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
Six more enemy attacks were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector—near Malynivka and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 enemy assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, and Rusyno Yar. One combat engagement was ongoing.
The Pokrovsk sector saw the highest number of attacks over the past 24 hours. There, Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 34 times.
Fighting took place near Sofiivka, Toretsk, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Bilozerka, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske.
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, Ukrainian forces eliminated 50 Russian soldiers in this sector, and another 11 occupiers were wounded.
An artillery system, two vehicles, two pieces of specialized equipment, and an enemy drone control center were also destroyed. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed or neutralized 275 enemy drones of various types.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack near Berezove.
Situation in the South
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched 22 attempts to advance. Fighting took place near Kosivtseve, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Hirke, Olenokostiantynivka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Novoandriivka and Primorske.
In the Dnipro sector, no offensive actions by Russian troops were recorded.
According to the General Staff, there were no significant changes in the situation on other fronts. Ukrainian units continue to hold their defensive positions and inflict losses on Russian forces.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, there were 268 combat engagements on the front lines, and nine areas where Russian troops were concentrated were struck.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces killed three residents of the Kherson region and wounded 19 others.
