Occupiers are pressing on three fronts – General Staff

Since the start of the day, 44 combat engagements have been recorded along the front line. Russian invaders are most active and are exerting significant pressure in the Kostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and Pokrovsk sectors. 

The occupying forces have not ceased their artillery shelling of Ukraine’s border regions. Throughout the day, the following settlements came under enemy fire: Korenok, Neskuchne, Ryzhivka, Bunyakine, Rogizne, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Stepanivka, and Malushyne in the Sumy region, as well as Senkivka and Klyusi in the Chernihiv region, were under enemy fire throughout the day. Ukrainian defense forces continue to repel the enemy’s advance and inflict losses on them along the entire line of contact.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one combat engagement took place between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces. In this sector of the front, the enemy fired on populated areas and Ukrainian positions 34 times, including twice with multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian army attempted three times to break through the defenses toward Vilcha and in the Starytsia area.

In the Kupiansk direction, the invaders attacked Ukrainian positions once in the direction of Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance in the Novoselivka area, toward Borova, Drobyshove, and Ozerny. Two engagements are ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, defenders successfully halted five attempts by the Russian Federation’s army to advance near Zakitne, toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders have not yet attempted to advance today.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the start of the day, Russian troops have attempted eight times to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, and Udachne, toward Serhiivka and Muravka. One attack is still ongoing.

On the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces made one attempt to advance toward Sichneve.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled nine enemy attacks in the Dobropillia area, toward Huliaipole, Hirky, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Staroukrainka. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces launched a single assault on Defense Forces positions near Stepove.

In the Dnipro sector, Russian forces did not attempt to advance.

This is according to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22.

The situation around Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region remains tense and contentious, where official claims of control clash with the reality of ongoing fighting and the infiltration of Russian assault groups into the city.
