A police officer was killed during the attack on Lviv

Vladimir Shandra, a civilian police employee, was killed in a Russian missile strike on Lviv on July 30. Rescue workers recovered his body from under the rubble of the building.

The deceased worked as a first-class inspector in the “102” Service Division of the Lviv Regional Police Department’s Directorate for Organizational and Analytical Support and Operational Response.

Volodymyr Shandra was 35 years old. He is survived by his parents and sister.

On the night of July 30, Russian troops carried out one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine, using more than 70 missiles and over 280 attack drones. Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, came under fire.

On the night of July 29–30, Russian forces carried out another massive attack on the Kyiv region. In the Brovary district, five people were injured as a result of the enemy shelling, including a minor. Damage and partial destruction of a private residential building were also reported.

As a reminder, one person was killed in Kyiv as a result of a Russian strike, and fires broke out in two districts.
