Following a massive drone attack on occupied Crimea, explosions and fires were reported
On the night of August 3, drones attacked the temporarily occupied Crimea; explosions and air defense activity were reported in several cities across the peninsula. In Kerch, a fire broke out after one of the drones was shot down, and there are also reports of one person injured by debris.
The first reports of drones heading toward Kerch emerged shortly after midnight. Local air defense systems opened fire on one of the drones, after which a fire broke out in the city. Preliminary reports indicate that a power substation on Miroshnyka Street was hit—energy facilities on the Kerch Peninsula have repeatedly been the target of such attacks.
Around 1:00 a.m., eyewitnesses reported heavy gunfire and a powerful explosion in the area of Mount Mithridates, and later—a fire near the Central Market and the bus station, not far from the Kerch Port, which has previously been struck by drones. According to local residents, a second wave of attacks swept over the city.
On Karl Marx Street, a downed drone exploded over a residential area, scattering debris across the roadway. A man was injured by the debris, according to subscribers of a monitoring channel.
In addition to Kerch, explosions were also reported overnight in several other areas of the peninsula:
- in the Saki District—three powerful explosions;
- in Feodosia—mobile fire teams fired at drones; preliminary reports indicate the drones were approaching the area of an oil depot that is regularly targeted;
- in Simferopol at 1:02 a.m.—two consecutive explosions.

On the night of August 1, drones attacked several temporarily occupied cities in Ukraine. According to reports from monitoring Telegram channels, fires broke out following strikes in Zugres, Berdyansk, Luhansk, Dolzhansk, and Sevastopol.
As a reminder, the Russian online marketplace Ozon evacuated employees from its logistics center in Zelenodolsk (Tatarstan) due to the threat of an attack by Ukrainian drones. After the alert ended, the warehouse resumed normal operations.
On the morning of July 31, drones attacked a warehouse complex in Zelenodolsk (Tatarstan, Russian Federation), where the logistics facilities of the Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces are located. Following this, a number of Ukrainian sources reported that strikes on Ozon warehouses might continue.
