Fire and Destruction at "Crimean Titan" in Armiansk

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, damage was reported at one of the region’s largest chemical plants—the “Crimean Titan” plant in Armyansk—following a drone attack. According to monitoring sources, the strikes affected a number of production facilities, including a new sulfuric acid production plant, and large-scale fires broke out on the plant’s grounds.

Following a nighttime drone attack in the temporarily occupied Crimea, extensive damage to production facilities was reported at the “Crimean Titan” plant in Armiansk, along with signs of severe fires that engulfed large areas of the plant. This was reported by local media, citing satellite images and video footage from the scene.

According to the information released, several production areas were damaged, including the “Titan-2” workshop, a new sulfuric acid production workshop, and areas near the ammophos workshop. Satellite images show burned-out areas and damaged infrastructure, indicating the intensity of the fire following a series of explosions.

“Crimean Titan” is one of the largest producers of titanium dioxide in Eastern Europe, and following the occupation of Crimea, it has operated as part of the Russian economy’s industrial chain, particularly in the chemical production sector. According to sources, dozens of explosions were heard on the plant’s premises on the night of June 13, after which a massive fire broke out.

Previously, representatives of Ukrainian security agencies had pointed out that the plant’s products could be used as components in the production of gunpowder, rocket fuel, and explosives. This, they said, is precisely what makes the plant part of the occupying authorities’ military-industrial infrastructure.

Reports also appeared on social media about numerous strikes and a prolonged fire on the plant’s grounds, which, according to eyewitnesses, raged for several hours. Official Russian authorities have not yet provided detailed comments on the extent of the damage or the possible consequences for production. This is reported by “Crimean Wind.”

A video recording of the successful combat operation was published on the brigade’s official channel.

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have carried out 55 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The most tense situation is observed in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka sectors.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb suggested that hostilities in Ukraine could continue for at least another three to four months.
