Wildberries sellers have reported receiving meager compensation for goods destroyed in the fire
Business owners who work with the Wildberries marketplace are complaining about compensation for property destroyed in the fire caused by a drone attack on a warehouse in Elektrostal on July 18.
According to sellers, the first so-called “support” payments amounted to only 10–40% of the cost of the lost goods, and in some cases, as little as 3–5%.
Company CEO Tatyana Kim announced the start of payments on July 22 for 88,000 small businesses; however, there is no clear formula for calculating losses, and larger sellers have not yet received any funds at all. The marketplace’s press office explained that compensation is being provided in stages and in several tranches as information is processed.

Losses incurred by Russian sellers from the July 22 drone attacks on Wildberries warehouses in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk could amount to approximately 100–120 billion rubles (1.27–1.53 billion U.S. dollars), assuming the warehouses were fully stocked and most of the goods were destroyed.
On the night of July 18, Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Russian Wildberries logistics center in Elektrostal, near Moscow, and in the Tombovskaya region.
