The Russian Federation’s proposal for a ceasefire in Kostiantynivka is a treacherous plan by the Russian Federation – DeepState
The four-hour ceasefire in Kostiantynivka proposed by the Russian Ministry of Defense is a treacherous plan that must not be agreed to under any circumstances, according to the DeepState monitoring project.
Analysts note that it is precisely the strike and reconnaissance operations by the Ukrainian Air Force and drone strikes that are causing significant disruption to the enemy and preventing them from fully consolidating their positions and capturing the city.
The Russians are attempting to establish a foothold in the area around Illinivka and Novodmytrivka in order to cut off all movement and control virtually the entire city of Kostiantynivka. The enemy is using its numerical superiority to constantly infiltrate the town itself, where it is suffering significant losses. According to experts, it is hypocritical for Russia to call on Ukraine to cease shelling when it is Russian troops themselves who are destroying the city with KAB bombs and drones; therefore, these temporary peace proposals are a cover for lies.
Active fighting is currently underway in Kostiantynivka, and the enemy has already reached the outskirts of the town, infiltrating deeper into the city. The situation cannot be described as easy or under control, but Kostiantynivka remains fully under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The appearance of photos or videos online featuring Russian flags is purely a propaganda ploy by the enemy, as Ukrainian troops either eliminate or capture all Russian infantrymen who survive long enough to be photographed.
This Russian initiative came amid claims by the Russian leadership that Kostiantynivka had been completely captured—claims that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Defense Forces dismissed as fake news and refuted, emphasizing that fighting for the town continues. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Moscow’s claims yet another lie and proposed that Vladimir Putin meet with him in person in Kostiantynivka. In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected this proposal, stating that the Ukrainian leader could come to Moscow for talks, while the Russian Ministry of Defense later acknowledged that fighting was continuing in the city.
