Russia launched a drone attack on critical infrastructure in the Shostka community

On the afternoon of March 27, 2026, Russian drones struck critical infrastructure facilities in the Shostka community in the Sumy region.

According to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Regional Military Administration, two civilians—a man and a woman—were injured in the attack and have been hospitalized for medical treatment. Backup power sources and generators were activated to maintain life-support systems in the affected areas.

The explosions also damaged residential and non-residential buildings; the exact extent of the damage is currently being assessed by relevant services. Emergency repair work is underway at the sites of the strikes, and law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of yet another shelling of the border area. The situation in the community remains under the control of the regional administration, which is coordinating the actions of emergency units to address the consequences of the enemy attack.

In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, two civilians were wounded as a result of Russian artillery shelling.
