On July 13, Russian forces attacked a foreign merchant ship that was unloading mineral fertilizers in a Ukrainian port. As a result of the hit in the superstructure, a fire broke out, three sailors were killed, and several more people were injured.

The ship sailed under the flag of Togo and was in the port at the time of the attack, where the unloading of mineral fertilizers was in progress. The hit fell on the ship's superstructure, after which a fire broke out there.

Three crew members died as a result of the attack. Five more sailors were injured. All the injured were taken to the hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical care.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development emphasized that such attacks pose a danger to international shipping, undermine the stability of global trade, and threaten the world's food security.
