Nova Poshta is changing its shipment storage model to withstand Russian attacks

Following the destruction of its sorting center in Svyatopetrivsk, “Nova Poshta” will convert its branches across the country into warehouses. In this way, the company aims to protect customers’ goods from further Russian attacks.

 

“Nova Poshta” is changing its goods storage model following the attack on its infrastructure. To make its fulfillment operations more resilient to attacks, the company is rolling out a decentralized model: freight and postal branches across the country are becoming local warehouses.

Customers’ orders will be distributed among different locations—this will reduce dependence on a single large hub and allow businesses to continue operating even in the event of new attacks.

The impetus for the changes was an attack on the night of August 28, when “Nova Poshta” lost its fulfillment center and sorting depot in Svyatopetrivskyi.

The company notes that this was the most modern robotic fulfillment center, built over many years using state-of-the-art engineering solutions.

According to Tafiychuk, the loss of thousands of books—including international bestsellers and works by Ukrainian authors from publishers such as “A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA,” Vivat, “Osnovy,” and others—was particularly painful.

“Our resilience lies in our ability to quickly adapt, manage risks, and support our partners under any circumstances—not simply in our facilities or equipment,” the CEO noted.

As a reminder, on the night of August 28, Russian troops launched a strike with four KAB bombs on the “Nova Poshta” sorting center in Sumy. As a result of the attack, the terminal was destroyed, but all employees survived.

Earlier, Russia attacked a Nova Poshta warehouse in the Kyiv region.

As a reminder, Russia carried out more than 860 strikes on Zaporizhzhia over the past 24 hours.
