The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck three Russian defense industry facilities
The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck three Russian facilities involved in the production of weapons and missiles. Among them are the Iskra plant in Ulyanovsk, as well as facilities in the Tula and Voronezh regions, which, according to the General Staff, are involved in the production of solid rocket fuel.
On the night of September 25, Ukrainian defense forces struck three facilities belonging to the Russian military-industrial complex at once. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The “Iskra Plant” in Ulyanovsk, Ulyanovsk Oblast, was targeted. The enterprise is part of the Russian “Almaz-Antey” Military-Industrial Complex and operates to meet the needs of the military-industrial complex.
According to the General Staff, the plant specializes in the production of semiconductor devices and components for enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. In particular, “Iskra” manufactures components for radio-electronic equipment, measuring instruments, communications equipment, and special-purpose equipment. The company also participates in the production of the Kh-59M2 and Kh-59M2A guided air-to-ground missiles. In addition, the plant is involved in the production of the 72V6 combat vehicle for the “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun system and its variants.
Two more enterprises of the Russian defense-industrial complex were struck in the Tula and Voronezh regions. These include OJSC “Yefremov Synthetic Rubber Plant” in the city of Yefremov, Tula Region. The second facility is JSC “Voronezhsynthezkauchuk” in the Voronezh area. According to the General Staff, both plants are involved in the production of solid rocket propellant. Specifically, this propellant is used in Russian ballistic missiles of the “Iskander” operational-tactical missile system.
Thus, according to the General Staff, during this attack, the Defense Forces struck facilities operating at various stages of Russian weapons production—from electronic components to rocket fuel materials. The General Staff did not provide specific details regarding the consequences of the strikes on the three facilities or the extent of any damage. As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders suffered 1,520 casualties. One tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems were also destroyed.
Occupied Donetsk and a significant portion of the region’s territory temporarily seized by Russian terrorists were left without power on September 18.
On the night of Saturday, September 19, the Russian terrorist army struck Pavlohrad. A fire has been reported.
