A jet drone was flying toward Vinnytsia—an explosion was heard

On the evening of September 25, an explosion was heard in Vinnytsia. Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the threat of an attack by a jet-powered drone. An air raid alert was declared in Vinnytsia at 10:18 p.m. City residents were warned of the danger and urged to take shelter.

A few minutes later, the military reported that a jet-powered drone was moving toward the city. “Vinnytsia: jet-powered UAV heading toward the city from the south,” the Air Force statement read. Around 10:28 p.m., local residents heard the sound of an explosion. The exact cause of the explosion had not been officially reported at that time. At 10:31 p.m., the air raid alert was lifted in the region.

As of the time of publication, local authorities had not reported on the consequences of the attack or any possible damage. This information is subject to change. During an air raid alert, residents of Vinnytsia and the surrounding region should remain in shelters and only leave after the official all-clear is given. If no shelter is available nearby, people should follow the “two-walls rule” and stay away from windows, according to Suspilne.

As a reminder, over the past day, Russian invaders suffered 1,520 casualties. Additionally, one tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems were destroyed.
