Russia launched 162 drones at Ukraine—air defense forces shot down 127

On the afternoon of September 25, Russia launched 162 attack drones of various types at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 127 of them, including 44 jet-powered drones; however, strikes were recorded at 27 locations.

 

On the afternoon of September 25, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with attack drones. The attack lasted from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. During this time, the Russians launched 162 attack drones of various types. Among them were “Gerberas,” “Banderole/Dan-T,” “Shahed” jet drones, and other unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary data from the Air Force, 76 of the launched drones were jet-powered.

Ukrainian air defense was actively engaged against aerial targets. During this period, the military shot down or neutralized 127 drones. Among them were 44 jet-powered drones. “During the specified period, air defense systems shot down or neutralized 127 UAVs (44 of which were jet-powered),” the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

At the same time, they were unable to completely repel the attack. Airstrikes were recorded at 27 locations. At four additional locations, downed drones or their debris were found. Thus, Ukrainian air defense neutralized most of the drones that Russia launched during the daytime attack. However, some of the enemy drones reached their targets. As a reminder, over the past day, Russian invaders suffered 1,520 casualties. One tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems were also destroyed.

Occupied Donetsk and a significant portion of the region’s territory temporarily seized by Russian terrorists were left without power on September 18. 

On the night of Saturday, September 19, the Russian terrorist army struck Pavlohrad. A fire has been reported.
