Russians attacked a DTEK vehicle in the Odesa region—an energy worker was killed

A Russian drone attacked a vehicle belonging to DTEK power utility workers in the Odesa region. One worker was killed, and another was injured. According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the vehicle had driven away from the substation after an air raid alert was issued, but the drone changed course and headed toward it.

 

Russian forces attacked a vehicle belonging to DTEK’s “Odesa Power Grids” in the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, one employee was killed and another was injured. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. According to him, after an air raid alert was issued, the utility workers’ vehicle drove away from the substation. The Regional Military Administration stated that a Russian drone subsequently changed course and specifically targeted the vehicle.

 

“One power utility worker was killed, and another was injured. After the air raid alert was sounded, the utility workers’ vehicle drove away from the substation, but the enemy drone deliberately changed course and specifically targeted the vehicle,” Kipper said. The attack on the power workers’ vehicle occurred amid massive strikes on the Odesa region. Throughout the day, Russian troops targeted civilian and critical infrastructure in the region. The Odesa Regional Military Administration also reported damage to an infrastructure facility and a production and warehouse building belonging to one of the enterprises.

 

“An infrastructure facility and a production and storage building at the enterprise were damaged. Three people were injured. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire,” the Regional State Administration noted. Emergency and relevant services are working at the sites of the strikes. Law enforcement officials are documenting the consequences of the Russian attack.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders suffered 1,520 casualties. In addition, one tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems were destroyed.
