Russia attacked Kharkiv with "Bandera" missiles; there are casualties and damage
On the morning of August 5, Russian troops launched strikes using “Banderole” munitions against two districts of Kharkiv. At least eight people were injured in the attack, and private homes and a civilian business were damaged.
According to Igor Terekhov, the first strike was recorded in the Novobavarskyi district.
“A ‘Banderole’ strike in the Novobavarsky district. The consequences are being assessed,” the mayor said.
A few minutes later, news emerged of a second strike, this time in the Kholodnogorsk district.
“Another strike has been recorded in the Kholodnogorsk district—in an area of private residential buildings,” Terekhov noted.
Initial reports indicated two injured, but the number of casualties gradually increased.
According to the mayor, the Russian strike in the Novobavarsky district hit a civilian enterprise.
As of 11:00 a.m., eight casualties have been confirmed.
“The number of casualties has risen to eight—three in the Kholodnohirskyi district and five in the Novobavarskyi district,” said Ihor Terekhov.
Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, clarified that in the Kholodnohirskyi district, medical personnel provided assistance to a man and a woman who were suffering from acute stress reactions.
According to city authorities, at least 15 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling in the Kholodnohirskyi district.
Emergency services are working at the sites of the strikes, and efforts to address the aftermath of the Russian attack are ongoing.

On the night of August 4, a massive Russian attack on Kyiv completely destroyed the “Nova Poshta” sorting center. Three people were killed in the attack, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure was also reported.
As a reminder, eight people were killed in the Brovary district while waiting for a train as a result of the Russian attack.
As a result of Russia’s nighttime missile attack on the night of August 5, production and logistics facilities belonging to the “Epicenter” company sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
