Russia attacked Sloviansk with high-explosive aerial bombs; one person was wounded

On Sunday, August 2, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, one man was injured, and private homes and an administrative building were damaged.

This was reported by Vadym Lyakh, head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration. According to him, at around 11:00 a.m., the occupiers used FAB-250 high-explosive bombs. The strikes were recorded in the central part of the city and in the Zaliznychnyi neighborhood.

As a result of the strike, about ten private homes and an administrative building were damaged or destroyed.

“At this time, one person is known to have been wounded. The man, born in 1965, is currently in the operating room, where doctors are fighting to save his life,” the statement said.

The head of the Municipal Administration urged city residents to prioritize their own safety and not to ignore air raid sirens.

As a reminder, on the morning of August 1, a Russian jet-powered drone struck a Rozetka warehouse. At the time of the attack, about 270 people were working there. One employee was killed, seven others were injured and are in the hospital, one of whom is in serious condition.

On the morning of August 2, Russian troops attacked the suburbs of Kharkiv with drones. One of the drones struck a postal terminal, causing a fire.

Russian forces shelled the Zaporizhzhia region 954 times over the past 24 hours, resulting in one fatality and one injury.
