Russian troops have advanced near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region and in the area of the village of Zaliznychne in the Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported on August 2 by the analytical project DeepState.
“The enemy has advanced near Kostiantynivka and in Zaliznychne,” the report states.
Kostiantynivka remains one of the key hubs of Ukrainian defense in the Donetsk region. In recent months, Russian troops have intensified their pressure on the city, attempting to advance toward it from several directions. The occupiers are actively using aircraft, artillery, and drones in their attacks.
Due to constant shelling, a significant portion of the city’s infrastructure has been destroyed, and most civilians have been evacuated. The city is currently effectively in the frontline zone.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military reported that Russian units are regularly launching assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Kostiantynivka sector, attempting to break through the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ defenses.
