Since the beginning of the year, Russia has destroyed 37 Naftogaz gas stations
Since the beginning of 2026, 37 gas stations belonging to the Naftogaz Group have been destroyed as a result of Russian attacks. According to the company, as of August 3, some of the damaged facilities have already been restored, but the rest remain destroyed and are not operational.
According to Naftogaz, over the first seven months of the year, 32 gas stations in the UKRNAFTA network and another five stations belonging to Ukrgazvydobuvannya were hit by Russian strikes.
The company noted that Russia has repeatedly attacked some of these facilities, particularly after repair work was completed and operations resumed.
“Gas stations are civilian infrastructure used by thousands of people every day. In frontline regions, the operation of emergency services, public transportation, medical personnel, and rescue workers depends on the availability of fuel. The enemy is well aware of this, which is why it is trying to make people’s lives more difficult and leave communities without critically needed resources. Despite the attacks, we are repairing these facilities, restoring them to operation, and continuing to supply fuel, particularly to frontline areas,” said Serhiy Fedorenko, acting chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Naftogaz also noted that since the start of Russian aggression in 2014, the state-owned UKRNAFTA network has lost a total of 123 gas stations.
Of these, 67 gas stations are located in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The rest were destroyed or ceased operations due to their proximity to combat zones.

As a reminder, the OKKO gas station chain denied media reports claiming that it had imposed restrictions on the sale of diesel fuel for vehicles, limiting purchases to between 50 and 100 liters per customer.
