Russia is attempting to turn the tide of the fighting, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions and wearing down the enemy
Despite suffering significant losses, Russian troops continue to attempt to turn the tide of the fighting in their favor. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are inflicting maximum losses on the enemy and gradually wearing them down.
This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on Facebook.
According to Syrskyi, during his latest working trip to the Southern Operational Zone, he met with the command staff of military units and subunits carrying out combat missions.
“During my latest working trip to the Southern Operational Zone, I met with the command staff of military command bodies, military units, and subunits involved in combat missions to repel the Russian Federation’s armed aggression,” he noted.
The Commander-in-Chief reported that the meeting focused primarily on coordinating actions and improving cooperation within areas of responsibility, as well as coordinating further steps to conduct effective active defense.
He emphasized that Russian occupation forces continue to build up their forces, but Ukrainian units are holding their designated lines.
“Our goals remain unchanged—to inflict maximum losses on the enemy in order to wear them down, liberate Ukrainian territories, and save the lives of our soldiers,” Syrskyi emphasized.
As a reminder, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi coordinated further actions with unit commanders in the Southern Operational Zone to conduct effective active defense.
As a reminder, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the positions of the 65th Brigade on the Zaporizhzhia sector of the front.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defense forces have eliminated 1,440 Russian soldiers and destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment.
