Russia is looking for a replacement for the Iskander missiles due to depleted missile stocks
The Russians are running low on missiles for the “Iskander” operational-tactical missile system, so the Kremlin is actively seeking an alternative from among the options currently available.
According to Mykhailo Gonchar, president of the “Strategy XXI” Center for Global Studies, in recent months, the Russians have been increasingly using S-400 anti-aircraft missiles and “Zircon” anti-ship missiles—designed for other purposes—against ground targets.
The Russian Federation has begun using weapons intended for strikes against industrial and military targets to terrorize the civilian population. These forced measures are the result of Ukrainian strikes against the chain of enterprises involved in the production of both the “Iskander” missiles themselves and their launchers.
