Russia struck Konotop, leaving the city without gas
On August 24, Russian troops attacked Konotop in the Sumy region with strike drones, destroying the vehicle fleet of the “Korund-S” company. As a result of the attack, most of the city was left without gas service; there are currently no reports of casualties.
This was reported by Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin.
As a result of the nighttime strikes, the “Korund-S” vehicle fleet was destroyed in the city, and several buses were burned. Most of Konotop was left without gas supply.
“But, thank God, there appear to be no casualties or injuries so far, although we are still verifying this,” the mayor wrote.
According to him, all of last night’s strikes targeted exclusively the city’s civilian infrastructure.
Due to the aftermath of the attack on August 24, some city and intercity routes may be temporarily suspended. More details about changes to public transportation will be available shortly.

As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones reached the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only operational military spaceport.
