On the night of March 31, Russian troops attacked Poltava, killing one person and wounding four others, including two children.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to rescue workers, a multi-story residential building in the city was damaged—the ceiling on the top floor was destroyed. State Emergency Service units quickly evacuated residents and handed the injured over to medical personnel.
In addition, strikes were recorded on an industrial facility and in an open area. This resulted in fires, which were quickly extinguished.
A total of 63 rescuers and 14 pieces of equipment were deployed to address the aftermath of the attack.
Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 267 of the 289 drones used by Russian troops to attack the country starting on the evening of March 30.
The day before, Russian forces fired on the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast nearly 70 times, using drones and artillery. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed, 12 others were wounded, and two of them are in critical condition.
As a reminder, on March 28, a series of explosions occurred at industrial facilities in Russia—an explosives factory was damaged in the Samara region, and an oil refinery was attacked in Yaroslavl.
