Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv in broad daylight, firing about 10 missiles

On the afternoon of July 24, Russian forces launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. According to preliminary reports, about ten missiles were fired at the capital. Explosions were heard throughout the city, and air defense forces were activated.

 

Mayor Vitali Klitschko also reported the attack on Kyiv, urging residents to take shelter.

“There are explosions in the city. Air defense forces are active in the capital. Stay in shelters,” he wrote.

According to monitors, the Russians launched at least 10 ballistic missiles at Kyiv, as well as “Zircon” missiles.

At 12:03 p.m., Klitschko reported that medical personnel had been called to the Svyatoshynsky district.

As a reminder, on the night of July 23, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military and military-economic targets belonging to the Russian occupiers as part of a systematic effort to reduce their capabilities.
