Russia shelled 28 settlements in the Sumy region over the past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, on July 23, Russian troops attacked 28 settlements in the Sumy region 53 times. As a result of the shelling, five people were injured, and law enforcement officers and bomb disposal experts continue to document the consequences of the enemy strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation.

 

In the Novoslobodsk community, a 49-year-old driver was injured when an enemy drone struck a vehicle belonging to the Ukrposhta branch.

In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a local resident was injured when an enemy drone struck her vehicle.

In the Esman community, a 51-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were injured when an enemy drone struck a car.

In the Krasnopil community, a 64-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck a house.

Investigators have opened criminal cases under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes) in connection with all these incidents, according to the police.

As a reminder, on the night of July 23, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and military-economic targets of the Russian occupiers as part of a systematic effort to reduce their capabilities.
