Video: Special Operations Forces captured three Russian soldiers without a fight
Operators from the 3rd Separate Special Forces Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave carried out a successful operation during which they captured three Russian Federation soldiers without firing a single shot. Video footage of the operation was released by the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.
While resting after a night mission, a group from the Triarium unit detected enemy movement and sounds near their position, even though the area was considered safe. The soldiers took measures to mask their sounds and established visual contact with the Russians, according to the report.
Thanks to clear commands and sector control, the operators forced the Russian soldiers to emerge into the open and surrender without any exchange of fire.
An initial interrogation and search were conducted on site.
It was determined that the captives were “migrant workers” who had been deceived into serving as drivers of humanitarian aid convoys but were then abandoned on the front lines. All detainees are in poor health—including some with hepatitis—and had not undergone specialized training.
Operators provided first aid to one of the invaders for a leg injury.
The professional actions of the special operations team and the timely detection of the threat made it possible to neutralize the enemy in the area and evacuate the captives to replenish the prisoner exchange pool.
