Russia strikes Kharkiv with ballistic missiles – explosions heard in the city
During the day on January 19, Russian forces carried out a series of ballistic strikes on Kharkiv. Powerful explosions were heard in the city, and air raid alerts were announced in several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic missile use.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"A hostile strike has been recorded in the Slobidskyi district of the city. We are clarifying the details," Terekhov noted.
He also added that the enemy continues shelling the city, and new impacts have been recorded in Kharkiv.
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov also stated that the Russians struck several targets in the Slobidskyi district of the city.
"The threat from the air remains. Take care of yourselves," he added.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Forces reported the threat of ballistic weapon use from the northeast direction.
