Russia has carried out more than 1,000 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region; there is one fatality and several people have been injured
Over the course of September 17, Russian troops attacked 50 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region 1,031 times. As a result of the strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, one person was killed and 14 others were wounded.
Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Defense Council, reported this on Telegram.
According to him, Russian forces carried out 21 airstrikes on the following settlements: Zarichne, Barvinivka, Novorozivka, Storchove, Novotroitske, Orikhiv, Soniachne, Preobrazhenka, Vasyne, Vilnyanka, Mykilske, Chervonyi Yar, Omelnyk, and Chervona Krynytsia.
762 UAVs of various types attacked Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Malokaterynivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoyakovlivka, Veselyanka, Bilenke, Storchove, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Stepove, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Novopavlivka, Mala Tokmachka, Preobrazhenka, Charivne, Novoselivka, Hulyaypilsk, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhivka, Kosivtseve, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Bilohiria, Rybne, Dobropillia, Prydorozhne, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Kopani, and Ternuvate.
Four rocket attacks were recorded on Veselyanka, Novoandriivka, Yegorivka, and Kopani.
244 artillery strikes hit Novoyakovlivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Stepove, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Preobrazhenka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Novozaporizhzhia, Bilohirya, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Hirky, and Tsvitkove.
A total of 156 reports were received regarding damage to infrastructure, homes, cars, and farm buildings, Fedorov added.
As a reminder, Russia struck a shopping center in Zaporizhzhia.
In Zaporizhzhia, the number of people injured as a result of a Russian FPV drone attack on a passenger bus has risen. Currently, eight people are known to have been injured—four men and four women. All of them are receiving the necessary medical care.
The enemy attacked a passenger bus in the Kosmichny district of Zaporizhzhia with an FPV drone. At the time of the attack, there were people inside the bus who were traveling on their daily errands.
