Russians destroyed 20 buildings in an airstrike on Sumy; one person was killed
Russian troops launched an attack using four guided aerial bombs against civilian infrastructure in the city of Sumy. A civilian man was killed near one of the impact sites; he was driving a car at the time of the attack, and his identity is currently being determined.
As a result of the enemy shelling, approximately 20 private residential buildings, as well as civilian infrastructure facilities, were damaged or destroyed. According to preliminary information from the Sumy Regional Military Administration, there were no injuries, and details regarding the consequences of the strike are still being clarified.

The Sumy Regional Defense Council has decided to evacuate 543 people from eight settlements. These are the Yunakivska and Myropilska communities.
As a reminder, due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions are temporarily without power. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy as of the morning of August 6.
