Russian troops are committing mass suicide under pressure from Ukrainian drones, according to the Ministry of Defense
Numerous video reports are coming in from the front lines showing Russian infantry resorting to suicide, often after sustaining injuries from Ukrainian drone attacks or when completely surrounded by drones.
This was reported by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, this behavior is a consequence of decisions made by Russia’s military and political leadership. Russian propaganda convinces its soldiers that they are “in control of the situation and have the upper hand,” while the reality on the battlefield is significantly different.
“Untrained personnel, no chance of evacuation, and constant pressure from drones,” Fedorov explained.
The minister also emphasized that the Russian command effectively forbids soldiers from surrendering, promoting the narrative that “it is better to die immediately.” At the same time, the Ukrainian side regularly conducts prisoner exchanges, which offers a chance for survival.
“Russia is taking away its citizens’ right to life,” Fedorov emphasized.
The Russian army’s losses continue to rise rapidly. According to the Ministry of Defense’s estimates, March could set a record for the number of soldiers killed. The trend in casualties indicates that, thanks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, enemy losses will exceed 30,000 seriously wounded and killed.
Fedorov added that reaching the 50,000-casualty mark per month could have catastrophic consequences for the Russian army. The Ministry of Defense also hinted at possible additional measures to intensify this trend.
“Perhaps we should propose awarding 12 e-points to a unit in whose sector the occupier committed suicide, provided there is video evidence?” the minister concluded ironically.
The day before, fighters from the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems “Madyar’s Birds” destroyed three BM-30 “Smerch/Tornado-S” multiple rocket launchers and a transport-loading vehicle for them, and also burned fuel tanks.
In the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration, an intensification of offensive operations by Russian troops is being observed.
