Russian drone strikes facility in Kharkiv: two killed, several injured

On the morning of March 11, Russian forces carried out a strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv using an attack drone.

The strike hit a civilian facility, causing a large fire and resulting in casualties, including injuries.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said the epicenter of the strike was a local enterprise.

Rescue units from the State Emergency Service (DSNS), emergency medical teams, and National Police representatives arrived at the scene immediately after the explosion.

As of now, two deaths have been officially confirmed among people who were on the premises at the time of the strike. Rescuers continue to clear debris and extinguish the fire to prevent its spread to nearby buildings.

At least five civilians were also reported injured. All the wounded are in serious condition and are receiving urgent care at specialized medical facilities in the city.

Syniehubov emphasized that Russian forces deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, creating a threat to residents.

“A strike by an enemy UAV was recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. According to preliminary information, a fire broke out,” Syniehubov said at the start of the rescue operation.

“It is known that two people died as a result of the Russian attack on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. Emergency services continue to work at the site of the strike.”

It should be recalled that Russian drones have previously attacked an industrial facility in Poltava region.

Russian forces also struck energy infrastructure in Sumy region, leaving parts of the region without electricity.
