Russian Forces Target Energy Infrastructure in Sumy Region: Some Areas Left Without Power
Russian troops have been striking the energy infrastructure of Sumy region throughout the day, leaving parts of settlements without electricity.
This was reported by Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to him, the enemy is attempting to cut power to local communities by targeting energy facilities. Power outages are possible in the Sumy and Okhtyrka districts, and some consumers have already been temporarily left without electricity.
Currently, energy specialists and emergency crews are working to restore electricity.
Hryhorov also emphasized that community resilience centers should be ready to accommodate people in case of prolonged power outages.
It should be recalled that Russian forces recently attacked vehicles in Sumy region, resulting in two fatalities.
Russian drones also struck the center of Novhorod-Siverskyi, leaving three people injured.
