In Druzhkivka, all high-rise buildings, without exception, have been damaged by Russian shelling

On August 14, it was reported that 100% of the high-rise buildings in the Druzhkivka community in Donetsk Oblast had been damaged by rocket and bomb strikes, artillery shelling, and attacks by Russian UAVs. Due to the threat to utility workers, maintenance services for residential buildings were suspended as of August 10, and charges for these services were discontinued.

The City Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations decided to suspend the provision of maintenance services for residential buildings and adjacent areas in the Druzhkivka City Territorial Community.

“As a result of rocket and bomb strikes, artillery shelling, and attacks using enemy UAVs, 100% of high-rise buildings within the Druzhkivka City Territorial Community have been damaged. The situation with constant shelling makes it impossible to perform work related to the maintenance of residential buildings and adjacent territories; there is a threat to the lives and health of employees of the Druzhkivka City Council’s utility enterprises who provide services to residents,” the commission’s decision states.

In light of the security situation, a decision was made to suspend the provision of services by the municipal utility “Komservice” effective August 10, 2026. Additionally, as of that date, charges for residential building and adjacent area maintenance services will no longer be assessed.
