Eleven high-rise buildings in Kharkiv will be renovated using government funds
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will allocate approximately 400 million hryvnias from the fund for addressing the consequences of armed aggression to restore 11 high-rise buildings in Kharkiv that were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
This was announced on Telegram by Mykola Kalashnyk, Ukraine’s Minister of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport, during a working visit to the Kharkiv region.
“An agreement has been reached to allocate approximately 400 million hryvnias from the Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression to carry out emergency repair and restoration work on 11 high-rise buildings, which will enable nearly two thousand residents to return to their homes,” the statement reads.
During the trip, critical infrastructure facilities were also inspected, and the state of their protection and the progress of work to strengthen their resilience were assessed.
According to Kalashnik, specific decisions have already been developed at the national level for the Kharkiv region regarding additional support and the expansion of resilience plans to include new facilities. This involves strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure, establishing backup systems for key infrastructure, and ensuring their rapid restoration following enemy attacks.
Among other places, the minister visited the “Lokomotiv” Sports Palace, where the “Lokomotiv 1945 Kharkiv” volleyball team trains; the team became the Ukrainian men’s Premier League champion in its very first season. Currently, solutions for the facility’s development are being worked out in collaboration with Ukrzaliznytsia and regional authorities, with a particular focus on sports for veterans.

In the Mykolaiv region, two people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of attacks by Russian drones.
In the Poltava region, one of the industrial enterprises caught fire as a result of Russian shelling.
In addition, since the evening of August 11, Russian troops have attacked four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times with drones and missiles. A 57-year-old man was injured in the strikes.
On the night of August 11–12, Russian occupation forces struck Zaporizhzhia. The attack damaged one of the facilities belonging to the “Epicenter” chain.
