In Kyiv, emergency alerts were issued for more than 242 hours in September

In September 2026, air raid alerts in Kyiv lasted 242 hours and 40 minutes. This accounts for 33.7% of the total time in the month; in other words, the capital was under air raid alerts for nearly a third of September.

 

This was reported by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“According to calculations based on the official records of ‘Kyiv Digital,’ for September 2026, this amounts to 242 hours and 40 minutes—33.70% of the total time in the month,” the statement reads.

Types of threats:

  • red alerts — 41 hours 50 minutes, or 5.81% of the month;
  • drone threats only—159 hours 02 minutes, or 22.09%;
  • without a specified type—41 hours 49 minutes, or 5.81%.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 771 strikes on 41 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Three civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.

Russian troops carried out a series of strikes on the Sumy region. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed, and another 16 sustained injuries and wounds, according to the National Police of Ukraine.

Since the evening of September 30, Russian forces have attacked the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast more than ten times. A civilian man was killed as a result of the strikes.

In the Pechersk district of the capital, debris from a drone fell into the yard of a private building.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in several buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
