In Crimea, the Red Cross has begun preparing humanitarian aid in response to the state of emergency

The Russian Red Cross has begun building up additional stockpiles of humanitarian aid for the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol following the declaration of a state of emergency on the peninsula.

In Crimea, 800 food kits and 700 hygiene kits, 43 metric tons of drinking water, as well as assistive devices—wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes—have already been prepared. In Sevastopol, a reserve of 600 food and hygiene kits has been assembled.

The aid is intended for people with disabilities in Groups I and II, internally displaced persons from 2025–2026, and those facing difficult life circumstances.

In addition, a mobile water purification unit is being purchased for Sevastopol in case of water supply disruptions. Starting July 15, an emergency support center is also set to open there, where people can receive humanitarian aid, charge their mobile devices, access backup power, Wi-Fi, and psychological support.

On the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula, local residents report prolonged power outages, fuel shortages, rising prices, and problems with social infrastructure. According to them, the situation is particularly dire in the northern regions of the peninsula.

As a reminder, Ukraine has announced that it has struck 19 Russian tankers carrying fuel for Crimea.
