In Crimea, two bridges were damaged and a fire broke out in Sevastopol following a drone attack

On the night of June 11, a series of explosions rocked the temporarily occupied Crimea. Several areas of Sevastopol were hit, including bays and military infrastructure facilities. As a result of the attack, two road bridges on the land approaches to the peninsula were damaged, and a fire broke out in Sevastopol.

The attack began around midnight and lasted several hours. The air raid alert was lifted after 4 a.m.

Around 4:11 a.m., local residents reported missile launches from Cape Fiolent. According to “Crimean Wind,” two strikes were recorded in the area of Komysheva and Kozacha Bays, followed by four or five more explosions. In Striletska Bay, a military unit was reportedly hit—a large fire broke out there, and smoke was visible over Omega Bay.

According to OSINT analysts, Tor and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems are deployed in the area of Strilets Bay on the grounds of the cadet and higher naval schools. The 68th Separate Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s maritime defense ships is based on the eastern shore of the bay. The exact location of the strike and the means used to carry it out have not yet been determined.

In Armiansk, while Russian air defense systems were engaging drones over residential areas, a missile struck a bridge. The structure was damaged, and eyewitnesses reported burning trucks near the crossing. Debris damaged homes, a kindergarten, and local residents’ cars.

A second strike was recorded on the bridge at the entrance to Krasnoperekopsk from the side of Armiansk—a strong glow was observed there after the attack.

“It appears that there are no longer any intact bridges at the land crossings to the peninsula,” according to a report by “Crimean Wind.”

Drone operators from the 3rd Separate Regiment of Special Operations Forces named after Prince Svyatoslav the Brave established aerial control over part of the strategic Melitopol — Chongar, which Russian troops actively use to supply their forces in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In May 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes against key elements of Russian military infrastructure as part of the “middle strike” campaign. Logistical routes in the Luhansk region and toward Crimea, as well as the occupiers’ warehouses, headquarters, and air defense systems, came under fire, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
